Beautiful Places and Beautiful Faces

I hope that you enjoyed looking at images that mean a lot to me. I like to look at photographs that bring emotion whether it be happy, silly, sad, or tranquil. Please feel free to share some of your thoughts about my beautiful places & faces.

I was looking at some of your blogs and I noticed that you had some really great topics. What captured my attention was the beautiful music, family pictures, beautiful vacation spots, and beautiful memories that you are making. It is so important to have happy thoughts stored in our minds. If we only dwell on the bad things.. well, then that is what we'll remember the most. I hope that when I am up in age I will have a lifetime full of happy memories and not old ugly memories of regret.

As we look around. What do we see? Really, what do we see? Do you see beauty in everything? I know that as we go about our busy lives we have problems and cares but we should be able to stop and take a minute to see life! Life is beautiful and it is worth so much appreciation. I love to watch the simple things in life as people go about their daily lives in the grocery store or walking together in the mall. I think it is everything because "Beauty" can easily be seen in the eyes of children or the smile of gratitude from a stranger. Obviously, it is so easy to see "it" in our own family and the faces of those we have grown to love, but I want to take time each day to see the beauty that God has given me. I just think that we can't afford to take advantage of this unique gift called sight! It is really sad to think about so many people that do not have vision to see life unfold before their eyes. Do they find beauty? I think they find it in their mind's eye. If they can seek beauty in their dark solitude then it should be so much easier for us to see it. We should seek all that life has in store for us because time really does go by in a hurry.

Did you take all of the scenic photographs? They were stunning.

Dr. Tunks,
I did take them. Did you see the pictures of the inlet with all of the little bonzi trees, cliffs, and rocks surrounding it? That was taken in the far northwest corner of the U.S. back before the Twilight movies came out. We went as far as we could driving on those back roads and turned around right at that Indian Reservation which is the a big part of the movie. Later, I was telling some of my friends at school where we went on vacation. They explained to me that we were visiting very near the movie setting of Twilight. I have a funny story to go with those pics too. You know how when you are on vacation and men will not stop to ask for directions?? Well we had been driving along the coast watching the sun set and we thought we could get a hotel in the next city. Noooo it only had fishing camps/campgrounds and to go back to the nearest hotel (civilization) was hundreds of miles away. We decided to sleep in the car. It was very dark, very late, and I was mad... All of the sudden a boom, boom, boom on the window... I was scared to death. Thought I was gonna die. A very strange looking man said that we could sleep in one of the fishing camp houses for $$$. Hesitantly, we took it but I didn't rest very well there because.... insects, creepy crawly things and the only thing that was open to eat was a fish camp store. It offered canned items only and we didn't have a can opener. Did I mention we were sleeping in a parking lot with a boat dock? oooh It is kinda funny now knowing the whole movie setting.

I think having pictures of the beach make me feel so happy, even whan I am feeling down. Pictres are wonderful things that make our lives so much more happy and enjoyable.

Angie,
You are right it is so nice to be able to view pictures to uplift your mood. I think about so many people that I know who take pictures and put them in a photo album on a shelf. They may not look at them again for years. I love my pics like you said especially of meaningul things like family, pets, and scenary that we love!
